Vestibular rehabilitation is designed to reduce problems related to dizziness and to improve balance.
Vestibular rehabilitation can help patients diagnosed with neck-related dizziness and migraines, dizziness, imbalance, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and Meniere’s syndrome.
A chartered physiotherapist will assess your symptoms and review your medical history before carrying out a physical assessment.

No, you do not need a referral for vestibular rehabilitation but please bring along any medical correspondence relating to your symptoms or condition.
Please obtain an authorisation code if you are using private medical insurance.
Initial appointment: £90.
Follow-up appointment: £50 (30 mins) or £70 (45 mins).
A chartered physiotherapist with experience in vestibular rehabilitation.
You may find it helpful to make a note of your symptoms and bring a list of your current medication. It would also be helpful to know any previous medical conditions you have had, including injuries or accidents to your head.
Your physiotherapist will develop a plan of care for you. This may include an exercise programme.

In many cases, vestibular rehabilitation is all that is needed. Other times, it will form part of a pre- or post-surgery treatment plan. Some people may be referred to an ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist or a neurologist for further assessment.
If BPPV is diagnosed, a canalith repositioning procedure (or Epley manoeuvre) may be performed, with your consent.
