Using traditional physical assessment techniques and a state-of-the-art scanner, we analyse your gait to provide information on how you are moving, standing and balancing.
Our physiotherapists are experts in assessing how someone is moving, what muscles are being used and what can be optimised to enable them to move better or be stronger. Combined with our state-of-the-art gait scanner, we use 2D and 3D information to obtain a complete understanding of the issue.
Information from the physical assessment and gait scan helps to create an advanced rehabilitation programme and determine whether orthotics may help to optimise movement and reduce or prevent pain.
Proud partners of OHI International who offer further expertise and a wide range of orthotics, suitable for different types of footwear.
You will first discuss your medical history, concerns and symptoms with the physiotherapist. They will then perform a physical assessment to look at how you are moving, your range of movement, power, balance and biomechanical alignment. Then, using the gait scanner, the physiotherapist will assess your static posture and weight bearing, your dynamic movement and also your balance.
All parts of the assessment will be combined and inform a plan of action for you. This could be to work on a rehabilitation programme, or recommendations for alternative footwear choices, insoles or customised orthotics.
