At OSD Healthcare, we have a range of leading Consultants who can provide you with a specialist opinion.
You can be referred to us by your GP (NHS or private), or by another Consultant for further opinion. Many of our Consultants hold clinics in the evenings or at weekends so that you can be seen at a time that suits you.
You will be greeted by the Consultant or nurse in the reception area and taken to a private consulting room.
Generally, yes, you will need a referral for a Consultant appointment. But in some cases, you may be able to self-refer – our patient services team are able to discuss this option with you.
Consultants set their own fees. Our patient services team will be able to inform you of the proposed cost of any consultation.

You will be advised of any preparation in a letter that you will receive prior to your appointment.
The Consultant will send you a letter which describes the outcome of your consultation, along with their recommendation for future treatment. This may include further tests such as blood tests, or diagnostic imaging such as an x-ray, ultrasound scan, MRI or CT scan which can be arranged at OSD Healthcare.
Yes, a friend or family member may attend the appointment with you.
